While there is no formal
Big Brother 21 renewal at the moment at CBS, there's a pretty good sign one is coming now.
If you head over to the link
here , you can get some preliminary information about taking part in the upcoming season. If there is one thing we would say here, though, it's this: Don't assume that this is going to be an all-newbie season.
Big Brother casting is basically just establishing a roster every year of people. Some of them end up being a part of future seasons down the line. One great example of that this season is Tyler, who previously was in finals for
Big Brother: Over the Top before getting a chance to actually compete this time around.
Casting is no guarantee of renewal, but it is also in anticipate of there being one. We've always felt like it was probably a sure thing that Big Brother would be back — it's been fun seeing everyone rally for more, but there's never really been any concern. This is a different situation than Big Brother UK, which could be nearing the end across the pond. The ratings here are good and while this season has had controversy, it produces big ratings. It also seems like Julie Chen is going to continue to be coming back as the host moving forward — reports earlier today indicated that she will likely stay until at least her contract is up after season 21, if not longer.
If you want to try out, have fun with it! Just be yourself and show off your personality. Remember that showcasing who you are is more important than just being a huge fan of the show. There are plenty of those out there.
