Courtesy of my friend Ryan Witalison:
Friday saw several cancelations some that weren't too surprising like Inhumans, 9JKL, Valor, and Taken and others that were a bit of a surprise like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Lucifer, Designated Survivor and Quantico. A few shows like Blacklist, Timeless, Agents of SHIELD, Gotham, and Lethal Weapon are still to be determined. The Buzz for Agents of SHIELD seems to lean towards a shortened final season from ABC while Fox appears to be looking to pick between Lethal Weapon or Gotham and not renewing both. Lethal Weapon is looking for a new lead and if they can't get someone than Gotham will be renewed. Brooklyn Nine-Nine was saved by NBC while Lucifer could be saved by the upcoming streaming service DC Universe.
In some Pilot news the Surefire bet since it was ordered, L.A's Finest was surprisingly passed over by NBC, it's indicated that talks with Sony fell apart when they pushed too hard for Guess Who Died in a package deal, both shows are now being shopped around. The Greatest American Hero was also passed over but in my last report, I had said it was a long shot to be picked up. The other big surprise is the Katie Holmes series No Apologies which was another favorite all pilot season. CBS went with Magnum P.I. over fellow reboot Cagney and Lacey and The CW went with The Originals Spin-Off Legacies over the Supernatural Spin-Off Wayward Sisters. As far as what shows did get picked up The CW added Charmed and Roswell to their line up while ABC added The Rookie with Nathan Fillion and the Goldberg Spin-Off Schooled
