You can remove your self actually. I have never seen your request to be removed.
It is very simple. Just scroll to the bottom of this page assuming you are using the email . Down at the bottom it has these--  

Just click the word unsubscribe. and voila you are unsubscribed,.
BTW I am not a moderator just a member. But that is how you can do it yourself.
Thing is reporting it to Yahoo they will just tell you that you can leave yourself.
