Anyone watch this last night? I did not . 2018 Oscars Live Blog: Complete List of Winners Sunday, March 04, 2018 It's the biggest night of the year for Hollywood, the 90th Academy Awards. Once again hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, this year features The Shape of Water as the most-nominated film, with Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri as another top contender to win several awards. Opening: The show opens with a rather bland black-and-white, old-fashioned newsreel introduction. Jimmy Kimmel kicks his monologue off by talking about last year's Best Picture snafu, explaining that it's because the accountant tried to do comedy on their own. The whole monologue is about a lot of serious subjects like sexual harassment in Hollywood. He then does the typical jokes about a bunch of the nominees. It's OK, but nothing special. The best part is the ending, when Jimmy promises to give a jet ski to the winner who gives the shortest speech.
