The battle lines are clear on
Celebrity Big Brother. The entire game boils down to James and Mark vs. Brandi and Ariadna, with
Omarosa as a floater and Ross and Marissa playing the middle. This episode makes it very clear that Ross has no loyalty to either group and will go whichever way the wind blows, desperately hoping that he doesn't have to pick a side.
Marissa is less wishy-washy, but with an HoH competition that was a total blow-out for the boys, she has no choice. We also learn that the Celebrators was far from the worst alliance name that James could come up with.
Ross in the Middle
One hour before the live eviction,
Omarosa made it clear that she didn't want to nominate Metta, but she did it because he asked. Now she's a floater. Ross tells us that he hates twists while Brandi is thankful that Metta saved her.
We also see that the night before, Ross convinced Marissa that they need to accept James and Mark's Final 4 deal in order to save him. Together they tried to come up with an alliance name and after a million terrible, douchey ideas from James, they settled on the Roomie Squad because they're all roommates.
Ross admits that he's playing the middle and isn't committed to either James and Mark or Brandi and Ariadna. He'll wait to see how it goes before picking a side. Marissa, on the other hand, makes it clear that she only agreed to align with James and Mark to save Ross and that she is sticking with Brandi and Ariadna.
James wants the Roomie Squad to go after Brandi and Ariadna next because
Omarosa is all alone and not a threat. Brandi and Ariadna want to go after James. Ross is stuck in the middle and wants everyone to join forces against Omarosa, but literally no one else is in favor of that plan.
The HoH Competition
The competition starts with two rounds of three HGs each. The top three times move on to the last round. All they have to do is crawl up a wobbly and unstable red carpet bridge in the fastest time, and it tightens as time goes on.
The women (Marissa, Brandi and Ariadna) go first and they struggle a lot. Brandi finishes first, then Marissa, then Ariadna. The men (Ross, James and Mark) are up second. Ross wants to throw it because he's aligned with everyone else who's playing in the HoH competition. Mark is first, then James, with Ross far behind.
Mark has the fastest time with 1:23 and James is second with 1:52. Brandi is third with 6:48. That's not even close and it's pretty obvious what's about to happen with these three in the final round.
James is the first one up, but he doesn't hit his button. He waits to see if Mark gets across before Brandi so he can throw it to him. This makes everyone recognize how strong their Final 2 deal must be. Mark does eventually get up next and hits the button.
Mark is the new HoH!James is ecstatic that the boys are running the house and he still gets to play for the next HoH. Ross feel fine because of the deal he just made while Brandi knows she and Ariadna are screwed.
Will Omarosa Be the Target?
Ross and Marissa feel safe, but they want to save their friends Brandi and Ariadna. They immediately go to work by telling James that Omarosa said that James and Mark wanted Marissa to go on the block (a lie that Omarosa made up). Mark and James don't care at all and still want to split up Brandi and Ariadna.
It's funny because James and Mark are so committed to the Roomie Squad but Ross and Marissa aren't excited about it at all and only want to go to the end with their friends, Brandi and Ariadna.
That may be difficult because Brandi has a big mouth. She complains to Mark about James throwing the HoH competition to him. No one knows what her point is and neither do I. Yes, James did it strategically because he trusts Mark and now he can play in the next HoH. Everyone knows this. It's obvious that Mark and James are a tight, unbreakable duo, but they're not hiding it and so are Brandi and Ariadna.
Filler Segments
In the funniest segment of the season, Mark works out in the gym while we see James in the diary room singing a goofy power ballad about Mark's exercise routine. It's truly absurd.
There's also some more White House Storytime as Omarosa talks about how cool it is to fly in Air Force One and ride in a presidential motorcade. These segments are getting old.
The Nominations
Mark nominates Brandi and Ariadna. He says they're both athletic, competitive and strategic and he needs to break up this dynamic duo.
Brandi blames James for this and calls him a d-bag. James is happy to see her go. These two really don't get along.
