Dierks Bentley says he and Luke Bryan 'got fired' from hosting ACM Awards

Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley will not return to host the Academy of Country Music Awards this year.
The news broke during Bentley's appearance at the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville on Monday.
Billboard reports that as a photo of Bentley and Bryan at the ACMs was shown on a screen, Bentley commented, "That's over... We got fired. Is that not common knowledge?"
The two country stars co-hosted the annual awards show in 2016 and 2017. Bentley replaced Blake Shelton, who'd shared hosting duties with Bryan since 2013
The Academy of Country Music confirmed Bryan and Bentley would not be returning as hosts this year. In a group statement, the show's producers told the Tennessean they were "grateful" to the former co-hosts for "lending their talents."

The awards air on CBS, and Bryan, like Shelton before him, now has a full-time gig with a show on another network. He'll serve as a judge on the reboot of "American Idol," which premieres this March on ABC.
The ACM Awards take place April 15 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas
