The shot does not protect you very well. Some have even died of the flu after getting the shot. Hopefully they can figure out a better way to protect all of us! Growing it in eggs apparently helps the virus mutate!

I read an article, a very in depth article, about this years flu epidemic.  They said getting the flu shot helps.  You can still get the flu, but the professionals have seen that those who got the flu shot didn't have as bad symptoms as those without the flu shot. 

I'm sick right now, and miserable.  I got the flu shot back in October I believe.  If I do have the actual flu, influenza, then I'm glad I got the shot, because as miserable as I am?  It's not life threatening, and I'm in a high risk category.  Though my nose needs to stop imitating a faucet!
