RE: [FunBBGroup] finale thoughts

Hi everyone,

I haven't been posting because I've been busy working a temp job. Today I took the day off because my daughter isn't doing well again. So I noticed some posts about last night (I never get to my e-mails anymore, when I'm working)..... and wanted to comment.

I really liked all the final 5. I would have been fine with any of them winning. Ben, I didn't like so much near the end because, yes, he did get egotistical. I thought Chrissy was going to win. She deserved to, as much as Ben did. I thought the jury was swaying towards her, but then at the end of their speeches, I think Ben's comments about PTSD and his issues was what swayed them back to vote for Ben. I've met several people over the past few years with PTSD... it is sad and these people come home really messed up.

Do we know who voted for Ben vs. Chrissy? I did see Devon vote for Ryan, Ashley vote for Chrissy, and the other vote they showed on camera for Ben. But what about the rest. Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing any of these people come back, including Dr. Mike. And I too was thinking they'd have past cast members come back for next season, except for the guy with long blond hair that gave away his idol and was voted out (I forgot his name, Eric maybe, he already came back on a season).

Well I'm not going to lie. I'm glad Ben won. And I Know he wouldn't have won had the fire making challenge not taken place.

The question is, was that a last minute decision by production, to add that one last twist?

Could they sense it would make for a better, more riveting final three? Course even if they did, its not like the show would admit it.

There are probably many angry Chrissie fans today. Had Devon been in the final 3,I think she would have won. And Ryan, I was surprised he got even one vote.

What Chrissie accomplished was great and she should be extremely proud of herself. I don't know why I wasn't rooting for her. I can't put my finger on it. I wanted to like her more then I did.

When Ben found that last idol, wow! That was awesome. I just didn't care for the way he presented it at the tribal council - the Ben Bomb. I just found that a bit too egotistical.

The final challenge was also excellent and could have gone to anyone. That's how the final challenge should be I think. It was even keel. The way they do the last tribal before the final vote is good too. I like the back and forth and how everyone can get in on the conversation and it's not all those scripted one on one questions. Even Jeff getting in their with the banter was good.

Loved hearing from Dr. Mike, he has such a great attitude! So does Devon. Really, the whole cast this time for the most part really seem to like each other and there doesn't seem to be any bitterness.

When they aired the sneak preview for next season for a minute I thought it was going to be all old cast members who had had that one epic mistake. But nope , its all newbies.Wonder how all of those past epic fails will fit in to the new theme. Some of those clips were old and I wonder if any of the younger, new players will even remember some of those "old school" players. LOL

Can't wait to read everyone else's thoughts!
