I've watched all the episodes so far.

I knew they claimed sexual abuse but that's all I knew. When all that happened in real life I didn't pay much attention to it as I was a teenager.

But yeah if things are like they are portrayed in the law and order shows I too am confused on why they got no parole. After the last show I will need to look up and read more about the case.

Because if true then I don't understand why they got life in prison without parole. Obviously killing their parents is not OK but with all that they went through and their fear for their lives it sounds like there was extenuating circumstances that should've gotten them a lesser sentence.
