Yea, it scares me that they let all the actors contracts go.  The hiatus was planned supposedly and they do tape 8 months in advance so some actors spoke out and said negotiations are going on and that they aren't canceled.  The problem for them is now if it does get renewed, they probably will all take a paycut since they will be renegotiating their contracts...that's probably why they let them all go while on hiatus.  But there's a lot of times where soap actors don't do anything really after leaving a soap so i'm betting a bunch will re-sign with the show at a lower pay....if it gets renewed which i really hope it does.  I've watched Days of Our Lives since around 1986.

Saw an article about DOOL going on hiatus.   Supposedly all cast members have been let go from their contracts.   But new shows will continue to air until September 2020, as they film 8 months in advance.
