Holly AllenThe Veto Ceremony transpired today within the Big Brother 21 house and going into it, there was a little bit of confusion.

For the better part of the past 24 or so hours, Holly as Head of Household has weighed heavily what she wants to do at the ceremony, mostly in terms of who she wanted to nominate as a replacement. There were a few different candidates that she had, in between Kat, Jessica, and Nicole, but Kat is the one who volunteered. She recognized that there would probably be the votes for her and she thought that this is a move that would mask how close that she and Holly were. Is that going to accomplish the desired goal? Probably not. For Holly, the incentive in doing this move is that she doesn't have to get anyone else mad at her.

Because of this, we can now tell you that Kat is on the block as replacement nominee alongside Sam, and that Sam is going to be heading home on Thursday pending a last-minute miracle. Where will he get the votes to stay from? To us, his only hope is in the event Jackson realizes how much Kat wants him gone from the game and that he forms some new coalition to keep Sam and use him to go after some of the people he perceives to be against him. Still, that would be hard. Cliff, Nicole, and Jessica are all in an alliance-of-sorts with Kat, and she's also going to have the support seemingly of Christie and Tommy. You only need five votes this week to be gone. Even if Jackson got Jack, Analyse (who likes Sam), and Nick on his side, it wouldn't be enough.

We should note that there is a lot of tension between various members of the Six Shooters at the moment over long-term priorities; since none of them are going home right now, this is probably going to spiral from here.
