On the morning of Day 18, the Tiva tribe is greeted by the other two tribes. The tribes have merged and are all moving to the Tiva camp. All of the castaways are excited to have made it to the merge. In his confessional, Carl says the merge is when you start playing the game for yourself. He wants to build relationships since he doesn't think he can just trust the Davids. The castaways happily share a feast together. In his confessional, John believes his former tribe will stay Goliath strong, even though he has built a good relationship with Christian. He wants them to pick off the Davids and have the Goliaths battle it out at the end. The Goliaths currently have a one number advantage over the Davids. Meanwhile, Gabby is hoping to find a hidden immunity idol on the table, but she can't find anything. As they are all eating, Carl shares with Angelina, Alison, and John that Alec was the one to flip against Natalia. Angelina is now very concerned about Alec.
As the tribe come up with a tribe name, Carl mutters to Dan that he's annoyed with Elizabeth. He wants to vote her out, and Dan is seemingly on board. He wants to take out the Davids while they can and stay Goliath strong. Later on, Christian and Nick catch up and are happy to be reunited. Nick tells Christian he believes Dan has a hidden immunity idol, and they promise to each other they are each other's closest allies. Meanwhile, Dan and Kara reunite too. They hug and are happy to be back together. Dan tells Kara that he found a second immunity idol. He says in his confessional that he wanted to keep that information to himself, but he couldn't help himself after seeing Kara again. He tells her she's the only one who knows. Kara is happy to hear this.
John, Dan, Kara, Angelina, and Alec reunite and say that they are the closest group of people. Angelina says she wants Christian to go first. However, Alec admits in a confessional that he does not want to stay Goliath strong. He's looking forward to broken alliances and tears.
Later in the evening, while everyone else is asleep, Dan and Kara are whispering to each other and giggling. Elizabeth notices this, and she's concerned about a possible strong duo being in the game. The next morning, Mike is unsure which side he wants to go with. Alec is also considering working with Davids, and he reaches out to Gabby and Nick. Alec is hoping to form a group with Mike, Alison, Nick, Christian, and Gabby. In his confessional, Nick is happy to see that the Goliaths are seemingly turning against each other. Christian points out in his confessional how this proposed alliance of six people has three Goliaths and three Davids. However, he's aware of how much of a threat Alec can be. Later on, we see Elizabeth pitch to Nick about voting out Dan, with the hopes of bringing Kara to their side once he's gone. She proposes this to Alec too, and he tells her he would consider it. Alec wants to play double agent, so he later reveals Elizabeth's plan to Dan and Kara. Dan is not happy that his name is being thrown out as a target. However, Kara thinks it could be worse for Dan since he has two hidden immunity idols and is part of the majority alliance. She says he should just stay calm.
It's time for the first individual immunity challenge. They will have to swing a pendulum around a statue.. If their pendulum stops moving, if they step off their perch, or if their statue falls, then they are eliminated from the challenge. The challenge begins, and Mike is the first one eliminated after his pendulum loses momentum. He's quickly followed by Christian. Carl is the third one out of the challenge, leaving ten people competing. Gabby is the next one to be eliminated after her pendulum loses momentum. Kara's pendulum hits the frame and loses momentum too. She's the next one out. Nick's statue falls, so he's the next one eliminated. Only seven people remain after fifteen minutes pass. They all will now have to switch hands, and Davie, Angelina, and Alec are eliminated when they can't make the transition. John accidentally steps off his perch, so he's the next one eliminated. Dan's statue is the next one to fall, so he's out of the challenge. It's down to Elizabeth and Alison for immunity. Elizabeth's pendulum loses momentum. Alison wins immunity!
The castaways return to camp and get to strategizing. Angelina has her Goliath alliance members around her as she tells them that Elizabeth is not a threat. She is adamant that Christian needs to be voted out tonight. She says he's the biggest threat in the game. Later on, Dan admits he's torn about the vote since he's close with Christian. He's also bothered how she doesn't seem to care how his name is being thrown out by Elizabeth. Meanwhile, Gabby is annoyed how the Goliaths seemingly get to have their way of how the vote will play out tonight. Later, Alec doesn't want to vote out Christian since he would break trust with all of the Davids. He says in his confessional that voting out Christian won't be good for his game. Alec talks to Alison, John, and Dan how they should just stick to the original plan of voting out Elizabeth tonight. Later, Alec whispers to Angelina that they switched back to voting out Elizabeth. Angelina is clearly irked by this, but she tells them that she'll go with the group. Angelina vents her frustration to John and Alison about how the plan was changed without her. She didn't appreciate being told what to do..
We next see Angelina secretly talk to Elizabeth. Angelina tells her that she wants her to stay, but it looks like Elizabeth is the target tonight. Elizabeth is in tears to learn this, but she thanks Angelina for sharing this information. Elizabeth walks away and she shares this info with her Davids. Gabby suggests to Elizabeth that they should tell the Goliaths that Angelina leaked their plan. They hope this will cause the Goliaths to vote out Angelina tonight instead.
It's time for tribal council. Jeff starts the discussion by saying the merge vote sets the tone for the rest of the game. Alison agrees, and she says she's glad to have immunity tonight. She says they all have to manage different relationships. Jeff points out how there's so many people, and Alec says they'll see if it's still David vs. Goliath. Angelina says the Goliaths will take a conservative approach today and stay united. Elizabeth speaks up and says that they are not so close. Elizabeth reveals to everyone that Angelina told her that the Goliaths will be voting for her tonight. Angelina is nervous as she explains herself, and everyone says that Angelina was already trying to manage the jury. Angelina says the Davids are trying to fracture the Goliaths, but the other Goliaths are noticeably upset with Angelina. Gabby admits that Angelina might have just tried to have a human moment with Elizabeth, but Gabby tearfully tells Angelina that she can't blame Elizabeth for fighting to stay alive. Gabby is crying about how the Davids are on the bottom. Angelina is in tears too as she sees the other Goliaths whispering behind her backs. Alec and Dan even stand up to whisper to each other. Angelina hopes the Goliaths stay strong and that they all will vote out Elizabeth tonight. Afterwards, it's time for the vote.
The first vote is for…
