The problem is she has a history of saying racist things so even if this was out of ignorance...she has a history that people point to.  And I agree, that was not a great idea to even bring that up, never mind defend it.

Why even say that ? What do you accomplish by saying that ? What do you gain by saying black face is ok for Halloween costume?  She sure was not thinking . 

It may have been ignorance but I do not see why she would want to even go there in the first place !

Her comments were that blackface was fine if done in the context of a Halloween costume. 

I'm not a big Megyn fan but I think this is more just being ignorant about the history of black face and not being intentionally racist.
