America's Got Talent LIVE Semifinal 1 RESULTS will be revealed tonight.  Last night, eleven contestants performed in front of judges Howie Mandel, Mel B., Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell for YOUR votes.  Tyra Banks hosted.  Join us as we live blog all the results. Only FIVE contestants will advance to the AGT finale in two weeks. 
First of course, it's the obligatory performance RECAP. Let's waste 10 minutes. I'll just be over here. Simon says at least 8 acts deserve to be in the final.

The fourth, fifth and sixth place acts are announced:   Duo Transcend, Samuel J Comroe and Voices of Hope Children's Choir will compete for the Dunkin Save. America! Send that dang children's choir home. What the heck is Duo Transcend doing in this line up? WTH.

Samuel is in the lead:
After the weekly Dunkin coffee promo party, it's a video package giving viewers a peek backstage during a performance show.

Results: Us the Duo and Shin Lim take the stage. The first act going into the finals is…Shin Lim!  YAAASSSSSS. The judges threw Us the Duo under the bus last night. No surprise they were eliminated. Not to say they deserved to advance–the duo's lightweight fare is hit or miss. I would have cut a B if Shin Lim had been eliminated. I would not be mad if he won it all.

MORE FILLER. The judges play an emolji game. Or something. Wait…the emoljis spell out names of former AGT contestants and the judges. 
After that? Another clip featuring Howie, wearing costumes. Geez. I'm going for a snack. Tell me when something happens. 

Results: Makayla Phillips, Michael Ketterer and Amanda Mena take the stage. America has voted. The next act going into the finals is Michael Ketterer. Saint Michael advances to the final.

Results: Junior New Systems, Front Pictures and Zurcaroh take the stage. The next act going into the finals is…Zurcaroh. 

Results: Time to reveal the Dunkin Save. America voted. Going to the final is…Samuel J. Comreau

OK judges. DO THE RIGHT THING. Send Duo Transcend to the final! Simon DRAMATICALLY casts his vote by standing with Voices of Hope. He's ridiculous. But it's so much theatrics. He sent it to deadlock so he could play the good guy (and soften the blow, probably). Duo Transcend took the audience vote. They advance to the final. The result would have been insane otherwise.

Simon – Voices of Hope
DEADLOCK – Duo Transcend is the highest vote getter. They advance. This is a reasonable Top 5. No complaints from me…
