I didn't see any reason to have it in the first place.

The come back that would be nice. Some of them should have had one turn at least .

The Voice Season 15 Twist: No-Turn Contestants Will Get Another Chance

On The Voice season 15 No-Turn contestants will get a second chance to make a team. Executive producer Audrey Morrissey told Deadline that there will be a new digital program called "The Comeback Stage." For the first time, six artists who did not get chair turns will be able to be coached by what the show is calling a "fifth coach." After the digital series the contestants will be able to rejoin the show in the live episodes.

How contestants who did not participate in any stage of the series, other than failing their blind audition, will be incorporated into the live shows, remains to be seen. Will the digital series feature a fan vote with the winner joining the live show as a wild card? That sounds like a reasonable possibility. One problem with the Snapchat version of The Voice which features contestants who submit video auditions–the coaches pick the winner. A digital series that involves fan voting would likely attract a wider audience.

But on the other hand, throwing a contestant into the live shows that most casual viewers have never met–or at best only saw a botched audition–probably spells doom for that contestant. Eh. The twist is probably more about growing The Voice's digital footprint than anything else.

Also: Did you hate season 14's twist "The Block" that gave coaches the ability to block fellow coaches from vying for a contestant? TOO BAD IT'S COMING BACK! Here's how Morrissey described their decision to add The Block:

So in this exploration, we decided maybe there is an offensive element, and that ended up turning into the "block," whereby during the blind auditions, if you hear a voice that you want and you are pretty sure some of your fellow coaches might want them, and you also feel like the artists might likely go to another coach, you can block them and basically take them out of the running. It's worked pretty well.

No. It hasn't worked "pretty well." Most fans hate it, because it's an "offensive" element. And The Voice is not supposed to be about bad vibes…

Also returning is "The Save" in the knockout round which allows a coach to save the contestant they just eliminated from a face off. Apparently, the coaches loved that.

The Voice will return to NBC for season 15 on Monday September 24, featuring coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson.
