America's Got Talent results: Did Vicki Barbolak, Shin Lim advance?
Who moved on following tonight's America's Got Talent – Judge Cuts performances? This was a tough field to really call!
Going into the announcement of the results tonight, we felt fairly confident that we were going to see Vicki Barbolak advance based on her performance at the end of the episode. The same went for the sensational Shin Lim. Angel City Chorale already had the Golden Buzzer from Olivia Munn and with that, it was a sure thing they were moving forward. Beyond these three, we did think that there were some interesting decisions for the judges to make — the entire field wasn't necessarily locked in.
Below, you can see all of the acts joining Angel City in the next round.
Joseph O'Brien – While he didn't have the best performance tonight at first, he does have the most overall potential. He is a very talented musician and we do think that he'll put his all into whatever is coming up next.
Shin Lim – He was exceptional tonight, just as he was exceptional during the first audition. This was the slam-dunk choice of the night.
Rob Lake – Both magicians made it through to the next round! Seeing these guys celebrate together was actually rather fun and very well deserved..
The Future Kingz – We knew that this was going to happen, mostly because of the two dance acts presented tonight, they were the one with the most screen time.
Hans – Yea, this happened! We though that this wouldn't happen after the way in which he got criticism from the judges, but we don't mind it. He's not the most talented guy but he is a BIG personality and there's no one else like him.
Vicki Barbolak – YES. We're so happy for Vicki, and we were almost overjoyed to see her emotional after it. She worked so hard to get to this point and she had the validation she deserved.
The big surprise of the night was no Sophie Fatu! We thought for sure that the youngest singer in the competition would make it … even if not exposing her to the live show environment may be the best thing for her right now. (We are a little disappointed that Vivien the jump-rope queen didn't make it either.)
