Survivor Ghost Island produced two, maybe three couples

  • Andy Dehnart
  • Survivor Ghost Island hasn't produced much in the way of memorable Survivor strategy, intrigue, or drama, but it did produce two Survivor couples, and a third seems to be in "it's complicated" status.

Kellyn Bechtold was voted out Wednesday—and if you have not yet watched her Ponderosa video, which is full of pure joy and love for having the chance to be on Survivor, do that now. Afterwards, Bradley Kleihege, her ally before he was voted out of the game, posted a photo of them together on Instagram with the caption:

"You may not have won Survivor, but you got me, which some would argue is worth more!"

That is very sweet, but one photo of Bradley and Kellyn together is nothing compared to what Sebastian Noel and Jenna Bowman—that's Sea Bass and Jenna—have done. Their profile identifies them as "Survivor Season 36 Castaway Couple," and their username is @tarzanandjen.

Almost every single picture is of them together, and they seem very happy.

The third couple may be Michael Yerger and Libby Vincek. Among his modeling photos and other revealing pictures on Instagram, Michael posted a photo of the two of them with the caption:

"Her hair doesn't smell like dead weasel 😘"

That seemed to suggest they were in some kind of relationship. However, a Redditor who goes by timmysomary posted information from an Instagram live broadcast Libby did early this month.

The person wrote that Libby: "said that her and Michael are not dating but stressed that they are 'very close friends' and also said how they were in a 'complicated feelings relationship,'" and added that Libby also talked about how far apart she lives from Michael.

If their relationship works out, that'd mean almost one third of the cast—six of the 20 cast members—are together, a better track record than The Bachelor. But if not, that's still 20 percent of the cast happily coupled.

Jeff Probst may bring up these Survivor couples during Wednesday's live Survivor reunion, since it's the kind of thing he likes to talk about—at least when he's not wasting time talking to the audience and ignoring female players. And there doesn't need to be any time for a discussion of game play, since there wasn't any this season. But at least these players got something meaningful from Survivor Ghost Island.
