[Reality-TV-Fanatics] Carrie Underwood makes triumphant, unscathed return to the stage at ACM Awards

I really looked hard at her face I saw no scars. I am sure she had plastic surgery done and make up. I don't know why she thought her fans would think she looked ugly. She was really surprised when a standing ovation after her song.  I don't think people look at faces or body when they sing. They listen to the song. I think now she knows all her worrying was for nothing.
I have to say this-- I watched from start to finish and not one political nasty was mentioned. Only thing they did mention was that it was 6 months ago for the LV shooting. and they were at MGM in MV. Now THAT is how an awards show should run.

The 2018 Academy of Country Music Awards were notable for many reasons. They were held in Las Vegas, a mere few months after a horrific shooting at another country event took place in that very city. Reba McEntire returned to reclaim her longtime hosting duties. Chris Stapleton's wife gave birth right in the midst of it all.
However, for many fans, there was just one moment to tune in for: Namely, the big live reveal of Carrie Underwood's face. For months, Underwood — who suffered a fall back in November that necessitated 40-50 stitches to her face — had laid low on social media, only posting pictures of her face with strategic disguising props such as scarves.
She progressed to revealing herself in profile, then moved on to full-on photos that either were a bit zoomed out or had clever lighting. All of this understandably had fans wondering what the heck she was hiding?
When Underwood did take the stage to perform her new single "Cry Pretty," nobody knew quite what to expect. However, those who were betting on something dramatic — well, good thing they weren't betting on Vegas tables, because they lost that bet.
Underwood's face looked smooth as glass; as perfect and flawless as ever. "Pretty" was the only word to describe her.
She received a standing ovation for her performance — which also was flawless — but fans on social media, predictably, reacted with confusion and a little bit of irritation. After all, the mystery of Carrie's face really had gone on for a long time.

There were fans who were, predictably, the voice of reason, however:

Underwood told fans last week that she's working on a new album. Her last new release was another grandiose anthem, "The Champion," which came out in January for the Super Bowl and featured guest vocals from Ludacris.
The 2018 Academy of Country Music Awards were aired live from Las Vegas April 15.
