[Reality-TV-Fanatics] 'The Voice' Recap: Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson Square Off in a Double Steal

I don't like Tuesdays nights as the chop off a lot of the singers  and we just see who they end up with

I thought Amber would have been stolen.

This is The Voice! We join coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Alicia Keys and Kelly Clarkson for night two of the Battle Rounds. With a little help from some superstar advisers, the talent show hopefuls are sure to learn just what they need to win each round. Who will join the winners' circle, who will be sent home and who will be in the crossfire of a Double Steal?

Carson Daly wastes no time introducing the first pairing from Team Kelly.

Amber Sawyer vs. Jorge Eduardo ("Starving")

So not only has Kelly recruited Academy Award-nominated actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld, but she's also assigned her two artists Amber and Jorge her hit song "Starving." And get this, it's partly in Spanish! Amber and Jorge could not be more different, yet they each bring a powerful voice to the performance. Also, there's a playful chemistry seen between the two. It's a shame that one of them must leave the competition.

Alicia and Adam side with Jorge because of his ability to switch it up by playing guitar and keeping the level of performance at a great high. Blake favors Amber, but the ultimate decision is Kelly's.

Winner: Jorge Eduardo

Next up is Team Adam, who has asked Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Julia Michaels to advise his artists.

Davison vs. Reid Umstattd ("Love on the Brain")

This is a beautiful Rihanna song, and to hear it adapted to two male voices takes it to a whole new place. Adam mentions a Blues Brothers feel, and it works. Davison may make more sense covering the song, but do not count Reid out. They complement each other perfectly. I, for one, would hate to make this decision.

The coaches are all in agreement in not knowing who to choose. Every time Reid seemed to steal the show, Davison would pull it right back into his corner. Adam chooses the artist who has the surprise factor.

Winner: Reid Umstattd

Not all of the performances are shown in full during this episode, but we do get a snippet of a few other battles and their outcomes.

Here is Team Blake...

Bransen Ireland vs. Jaron Strom ("Head Over Boots")

Just because a singer feels at home in the genre does not mean they will automatically win that Battle. Jaron puts in the work and the effort, and it shows. Blake chooses him over Bransen.

Winner: Jaron Strom

Then there's Team Alicia...

Johnny Bliss vs. Megan Lee ("Versace on the Floor")

Thanks to a big personality and a good old-fashioned taking off of the jacket move, Alicia knows exactly who to keep around.

Winner: Johnny Bliss

And finally it's Team Kelly...

Jamella vs. Teana Boston ("Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow")

This one seems to be more of a process of elimination. Teana simply can't hold her own against the powerhouse that is Jamella, and Kelly notices.

Winner: Jamella

Jordyn Simone vs. Kelsea Johnson ("Don't Let Go (Love)")

Toss Shawn Mendes in a room full of soulful female singers and you get numerous stank faces and woos that should now grace the Internet as useful memes in everyday online conversation. Alicia has given us a reimagination of En Vogue in these two young artists. It's as if the very souls of those four women have been stuffed into these hopefuls. There is no loser in this pairing whatsoever. Honestly, Jordyn and Kelsea could easily be a duo on the radio today.

Hands down, this is the best Battle so far. Alicia picks Kelsea to stick around, but Jordyn is not out of it just yet. Both Adam and Kelly hit their buttons to steal. Adam is the only one to choose Jordyn as the winner of the round, so he is her new coach.

Winner: Kelsea Johnson

Steal: Jordyn Simone chooses Adam as her new coach

This round of Battles was seriously lit! The competition is on fire and I, for one, have no idea where to turn for my favorite. Everyone has something to bring to the table.

Which pairing did you find to be the best? Were there any artists you would have kept around? Most important, should Adam cover a Billy Idol song this season? I don't know about you, but I would turn my chair for that one! Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
