[Reality-TV-Fanatics] Bozell: 'Behar Did the Right Thing to Publicly Apologize' for Insulting Christians

Better late then never. It is a shame she couldn't have done it on her own and not have to be persuaded to do it.

Bozell: 'Behar Did the Right Thing to Publicly Apologize' for Insulting Christians

 By Craig Bannister | March 13, 2018 | 1:31 PM EDT

Media Research Center (MRC) President Brent Bozell praised ABC "The View" host Joy Behar Tuesday for her on-air apology for insulting Vice President Mike Pence and Christians nationwide.
Bozell, in a statement reacting to the news of the public apology, called an end to MRC's "Stop Christian Hate" campaign demanding a public apology by "The View":
"Our campaign against 'The View' and Joy Behar has concluded. Even though it took a full month, Joy Behar did the right thing today to publicly apologize for her offensive remarks."
Bozell expressed his gratitude for the efforts of the thousands of grassroots supporters who contacted ABC and its sponsors supporting the campaign – but, voiced his disappointment with advertisers who failed to speak out against Behar's anti-Christian bigotry:
"I want to thank and congratulate the massive number of Americans who supported our effort and stood up to this anti-Christian bigotry with your calls, letters and messages.
"Over 43,000 phone calls were placed to ABC and their advertisers demanding an apology.. This clearly has taken a toll on ABC and has left a black mark on advertisers Clorox, Gerber, Oreo and HomeAdvisor who were utterly silent in reply to the uproar from their Christian consumers."
Bozell promised that MRC will continue to monitor, and call out, any future anti-Christian media bigotry:
"While our campaign is over, let it be made clear: we will not hesitate to come after any TV personality or media figure who engages in this type of anti-Christian bigotry. Nor will we spare any effort to denounce the sponsors of such hatred.
"Christians are fed up, and aren't going to take it anymore."
Behar made her apology on Tuesday's episode of "The View" in reaction to a Fox News interview with Vice President Mike Pence regarding Behar's insult to him – and all Christians, MRC's NewsBusters reports:
After playing the FNC clip on The View today, Whoopi [Goldberg] prompted Behar to respond, which she did willingly.
"Yeah. So I think Vice President Pence is right... I was raised to respect everyone's religious faith. I fell short of that. I sincerely apologize for what I said," the View host said somberly, to audience applause.
From there, Whoopi quickly moved on and directed the conversation to the political "hot topics."
