RE: [Reality-TV-Fanatics] Fergie issues apology for botched NBA All-Star Game national anthem

OH MY…. That was awful. Yes, a REAL crime.
Did she think she was singing a sex song to a president?

Do you remember when Roseanne Barr sang the anthem years ago? Well actually I liked that better then this horrible horrible rendition. She had to have been under the influence of something . Surely she wouldn't have done this if she were not.

LOL I am posting this in a couple CRIME related groups IMO this is a CRIME

Fergie issues apology for botched NBA All-Star Game national anthem

Fergie's national anthem stole the show at the NBA All-Star Game, and not in a great way. The former Black Eyed Peas singer's sultry rendition drew bewilderment and amusement from players and fans.

A day later, even she conceded to TMZ her version didn't hit the right note.

"I've always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA. I'm a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn't strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly tried my best."

This was not the first time Fergie came under criticism for singing the anthem at a sporting event:

Apparently, Fergie has been butchering anthems for years...

It's hard not to feel for the 42-year-old singer. She tried something different in front of a national TV audience.. It didn't work. Maybe everyone can let it go now that the public shaming has resulted in her having to apologize for not singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" as well as people would have liked.
