Years ago, in the 1980's, when I was still in 4th - 6th grade, I would get Cortisone shots to help with my asthma. I haven't outgrown it, but it's not even near as bad as it used to be, thankfully.

My oldest daughter had severe asthma. She was also a competitive swimmer. One summer, in a long course ( 50m) IM, she was about 5 body lengths ahead of everyone on the fly leg. She should have been at the leaders' feet. We were sitting there with our mouths hanging open. When she got to the end of the pool, the parents there were pulling her out. She was wheezing so badly and it was so loud that everyone could hear her. She wasn't miked up :->. This particular child had had surgery at 2 1/2 months in the days when they didn't use anesthetics on infants. Then, when she was 3, she shoved a walnut up her nose so far (joys of parenthood) that she needed surgery again. So our pediatrician put himself on call 24 hrs 7 days a week b/c he didn't want her in the hospital again. Instead he gave her an injection. I am having a brain lapse and forget the kind he used in those days. When her asthma was bad her breathing was extremely wheezing and noisey. So forgive me if I doubt Omarossa and the severity of her attack. A Proair rescue inhailor was probably all she needed and if she really had asthma, she would have had one with her.
