News update but be cautious because it also will tell you who is new HOH. I just didn't feel that I should edit something I get from another site.
Who won HoH in the
Celebrity Big Brother house tonight? For starters, we were surprised that we didn't get the competition on the show tonight, especially since it was a TWO HOUR EPISODE. Why no competition? What would've been so wrong with that? We can't quite think of much.
Going into the competition, one thing that was clear was that Omarosa really needed to win it. She just found herself on the outside after being left out of the vote to evict Chuck Liddell, and she also just got into epic arguments with both Brandi Glanville and Shannon Elizabeth over the past 24 hours. Basically, the Omarosa everyone thought would show up has.
Let's get now to what we consider to be the main event — or at least what we thought was the main event. Ross is the new Head of Household, which puts him in an interesting spot since we don't actually think that it was in his best interest to win this early in the game as to expose him as a player.
What's actually a little more interesting at the moment is the news that Omarosa was apparently hospitalized as a result of the challenge. She wasn't back when the feeds returned overnight and she's not back this morning. It's a little too early to know if she is going to actually return to the show or not — we don't think that this is one of those cases, though, where this is a convenient way for her to leave the game rather than being evicted. She still has the Power of Veto to play for if she can return, and who knows? Maybe she also has sympathy going for her at the moment. No matter what happens with this, though, we don't see it going altogether well. It's possible Omarosa just leaves rather than dealing with this aggravation. That'd be a big blow to CBS, who was using her as the show's most-bankable star.
Ratings update Last night's two-hour episode drew a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic opposite the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics. We obviously think that the Games were a huge component in what happened, but at the same time they weren't the only component. We'd probably blame more than anything else it being Friday night and there just being a smaller pool of potential viewers interested in watching two hours of television.
We don't exactly think there's going to be a Celebrity Big Brother 2 anytime soon regardless of the ratings, but this is still a point of curiosity for us.
