We're coming off of what was a pretty quiet overnight period in the
Celebrity Big Brother house. There really wasn't all that much that happened that we would constitute as significant, and with that it feels like we're just watching time tick away until Friday's eviction of Shannon Elizabeth.
There's no real need to talk about this given that Shannon has done very little herself to try to campaign. It's never difficult to want to root for a super-fan, but at the same time we do have to note that in some ways, Shannon does feel like a disappointment. She's a frontrunner player who does extremely well when things are going her way. However, she folds whenever things are not. We're seeing that play out with her now. She's spent a lot of her time sulking and it feels like there are some arguments that she could at least be trying to stay over Mark McGrath. We don't necessarily think that he is so invulnerable that votes cannot be swayed. You could use his relationship with James Maslow as ammunition, or just try to hit the point home that getting rid of her means that the men will have a majority in the house for the first time all season long.
Really, it just feels like Shannon should be trying something to stick around and, at least for now, there's not the drive behind her that we really wish there was.
Endurance Head of Household speculation There is an endurance comp playing out live on the feeds tonight but we really don't know how close of a showdown it'll be. Ariadna Gutierrez is actually the best-equipped person for said competitions and she can't play given that she is the outgoing Head of Household. Given Omarosa's asthma issues it's hard to see her winning. Meanwhile, Metta World Peace is enormous and there's no way he'll be able to endure what is thrown at him here. Shannon, if she was still in the game, would probably fare well.
As of right now, we're going to argue that this is James' competition to lose. While men don't always fare well in these he's not too bulky and should do okay. Also, there's a real absence of super-athletic women competing tonight that could overthrow him.
