The Resident episode 2 preview: How will Fox series follow premiere? The Resident Comments January 22, 2018 What's coming on The Resident episode 2? Tonight's episode has a chance at getting a nice bump after the NFC Championship Game, though with the game being such a blowout we're not entirely sure just how many people stuck around to the very end. We do hope that there is a big audience for the series tonight so that we can see it grow and develop into something that has a long life on the air. If you watched the premiere, you at least have an idea tonally of what The Resident episode 2 will look like — it's a character-based medical drama similar in some ways to Grey's Anatomy, mostly in that we feel like it's about the people just as much as it is the cases. We've already learned, for example, that Conrad is a very complicated guy — he's overconfident and arrogant in some ways, but there's also a hidden vulnerability there. He also has an absolutely insane tattoo. Meanwhile, Nic has proven herself to be a smart, funny character and one of the few people who can put Conrad through his paces. For a little more news as to what's coming specifically in The Resident episode 2, take a look at the attached synopsis below via Fox: Conrad receives the call he's been waiting for when a heart becomes available for a patient who has been on the transplant list for two years. But when a congressman is admitted to the hospital after a heart attack, he is prioritized and derails Conrad's patient's surgery. Meanwhile, Nic grows suspicious of one of the doctors after a file goes missing, Dr. Bell tries to manipulate Mina and Devon is put to the test when a patient's condition requires a split-second decision in the all-new "Independence Day" time period premiere episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, Jan. 22 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The Resident episode 2 looks to be intense, dramatic, and above all fascinating. We know that there are a glut of medical series out there but in the midst of that, we do hope that everyone continues to give The Resident and its excellent cast a chance.
