Dubious song selections and recurrent jitters all but guarantee that sooner than later Team Miley's would-be Gretchen Wilson will be singing "Delta Gone."

The country-soul trail that Team Blake's genre-bender is trying to blaze is turning out to be too narrow a lane to take her all the way to the finish line
 

7. Shi'Ann Jones

We'd have put Team Jennifer's green teen dead last on this list — she just isn't ready to go pro — except that, mystifyingly, she's thus far eluded the Bottom Two. Inexplicable but true.

Unless Team Jennifer's R&B belter starts pulling out performances as stunning as his Playoffs rendition of his coach's "I Am Changing," the next time he's involved in a shoe-throwing incident, he'll be packing to go home

With Janice Freeman out (damn it!), powerhouse Brooke is, hands down, Team Miley's best shot. But, since she isn't creating the kinda audience hysteria that the contestant in the top spot is, that shot is probably a blank.

While the win seems out of reach for Team Jennifer's teenage dream, his combo of strong vocals and creative innovation is sure to take him to the finals — that is, provided he doesn't do something foolish like cut his amazing hair
