Re: [FunBBGroup] WELL FOLKS ITS IOFFICIAL NOW --Tom Petty dead at 66: Musicians, celebrities react

I don't know. In your opinion when they reported he had died? Maybe they should have just let it stay since they knew he would soon?  Or does that sound cruel.?

He was brain dead to start with after he was found,  so he was not really alive . He was breathing but he was not going to last more than hours.

Ok its now official. Apparently he went into cardiac arrest and was put on life support . I guess word trickled out he had died.  Anyway then he was taken OFF life support and word was he was not dead. I think when they took him off life support it was just the beginning of the end as he had a DNR so it was said somewhere. . My fact check said he had died then it said he hadn't now it says he did. I checked other outlets and yes he has.

Tom Petty, the frontman of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, died Monday after he was found unconscious at his California home. He was 66.
Tony Dimitriades, the band's manager, announced the singer's death in a statement. Petty was reportedly taken off life support after going into cardiac arrest on Sunday at his Malibu home.
Celebrities paid their tributes to the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer after his death.
