  BigBrother 21 live feed spoilers: Sam learns about grandfather's death

July 7, 2019There are some Big Brother 21 updates that are more serious than others, and this one qualifies for that. While we'll talk a little bit about game in the paragraphs that follow, the news pertaining to Sam is the most important event in the house this afternoon.

The Diary Room clued Sam in on the news this afternoon, and he immediately received love and condolences from the other houseguests. Even if they hate each other here and there in the game, they all understand the difference between this and life. Sam winning the Veto suddenly comes secondary to the pain that he is feeling in the house. It does also put him in a position where he needs to decide if he wants to remain a part of the game; we wouldn't blame him either way, as it is a decision that he needs to make for him and his family. We know that he was there primarily with the purpose of giving them a better life after some tough times.

This is not the first time that this has happened to houseguests during a season; back in Big Brother 16, both Derrick and Frankie both lost grandparents while they were in the house.
